This February, Cho Tot witnessed the important milestone of some beloved FRUITies as they officially entered their 6th year working here. Pride and gratitude are what we feel when looking back on the journey we have been together. Pieces of Gold printed with Dong Tot are our meaningful gifts presented to them on this anniversary.
Grabbing this special occasion, we sat down and shared some proud feelings for the question: "Why have you chosen to stay at Chotot for the past 5 years?". Here are the sweet insightful words we received:
"I was lucky to get a sales position in Chotot nearly 5 years ago. I love it here because the managers always give me challenges to make sure I can learn new things, grow and do bigger tasks. I have the freedom to find and implement my own plan and everyone is ready to listen. We work hard but in a fun way. Remember 2017 - when I first joined Chotot - we did not open an office in Hanoi, 5 years later, we have a team with full facilities to be able to effectively support thousands of business partners in Hanoi and the Northern region. Looking back on the past 5 years, what I am proud of is having contributed to the process of building and managing our lovely Hanoi team.”
“Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get”. For me, ChoTot is truly a surprisingly delicious piece among many choices for a destination of my career. I have got opportunities to challenge and widen my points of view, great supervisors and colleagues who humbly came to achieve more together and joyful memories for life. ChoTot has pushed me forward nonstop and allowed me to grow strongly both personally and professionally. There are still many things to be done for us to empower every Vietnamese daily lives and I’m always eager as I was 5 years ago to grow together with ChoTot in years to come.
“During the past 5 years at Chotot, what I am most proud of is not a specific achievement, but my best effort to deal with many ups and downs. I don't remember how many times we fell into difficult situations, when the KPI was not reached, when the customers refused,... But what I remember is that before every uncertainty, I have always made the greatest effort possible. There are many reasons why I love working here: my current job matches my interests, Chotot’s vision really makes sense to me, the company has good benefits policies, and I especially enjoy working with my boss (for me, this reason accounts for 50%).”
“Why don't we stay at a place where we can get better every day?”. Looking back at nearly 6 years at Chotot, I can see how much better and more mature I am. Our CEO - Jacky - has a statement which is famous among FRUITies, and which would sound much more poetic in Vietnamese “Mong thanh xuân của mọi người ở Chợ Tốt là đáng giá” (in English, this is the so-so translated version of it: “We want all our employees to have a youth well spent at Chợ Tốt”). We really hope our dear FRUITies truly have a youth-well-spent at Chợ Tốt in the past 5 years and so excited to welcome the next 5 years we grow old together.
