Building products is not easy, but developing and upgrading it to always meet the increasing needs of users is even more challenging. At Cho Tot, the key to help us conquer each of these challenges is our innovative thinking (the I in our FRUIT culture), therefore, our Fruities are considered as innovators.
Being an innovator means shaping the future with ideas that are realized into meaningfully useful products or services. To create such an impact, we believe in the power of our collective mind, where every single member can play a part in the making. That is why the platform - WhatIF WhatNext was introduced for the first time. This is the platform for each and every Fruitie to plan our own seeds and grow it into the future we envision.
On this idea-seeding journey, we went through three exciting stages together: (1) hunt insights, (2) ideate solutions and (3) pitch ideas. We got some impressive stats afterward: within 1 month our FRUITies contributed more than 60 good user insights to enrich Cho Tot's collective insights pool, 112 ideas were generated with the desire to discover as many good opportunities for Cho Tot as possible. During this time, we had witnessed the best efforts of all participants, they had been constantly researching, digging insights, coming up with ideas to wait for the day presenting to Cho Tot family. And that day had finally come, on January 14th's afternoon we all gathered for the pitching of our three best teams.
Our pitching day opened with the presentation of the team “3 ngọn đuốc lung linh". Stemming from understanding the difficulties in casual job application process, the team proposed the idea of In-app Interview. With multiple features on one app, aiming at simplicity and time-saving, In-app interview helps candidates complete the application process from applying to interviewing and receiving offers, all are online and in a single application. This feature promises to be very popular with both job seekers and recruiters.
Car Rental was the second idea to be presented. The team emphasized on Cho Tot's motto "A Way to Your Wants" and realized a high demand for renting and leasing of Vietnamese young people these days, to end-up proposing the idea of bringing a new segment to our marketplace: car rental. This very bold and interesting idea had received a lot of interest and questions from the audience, which was considered a strong competitor for the top spot.
The last idea was Nearby Items, which was presented by the team 3.33. Starting with the thought: why did we have to go so far to find necessary items? Three members of the team had brought up this idea to help users easily find products that met their needs and were closest to them. This idea completely convinced our judges and Fruities.
In fact the ideas of 3 teams were equally meaningful and they all deserved to be the winners. But there was only one champion, the winning title finally went to "Nearby Items”. All were well-deserved and encouraging prizes were given to them for appreciating their efforts and dedication to this project. Time flew, we all enjoyed super fun times jamming and ideating, creating and realizing all in!
Needless to say, when creative and cool ideas are presented, we are delighted and applauded for each Fruitie's spirit of discovery and innovation. However, we are even more proud when we know that each member always cherishes meaningful ideas to improve our own product - Cho Tot marketplace. Because that is the moment we really are one big family, we together build the product that is empowering millions of Vietnamese daily lives!
